The Research in Ethnobiology and Sustainable Development journal is a quarterly, peer-reviewed academic publication. It is an initiative of the interdisciplinary Ethnobiology Core, located within the Research Center of Geographic Sciences and Social Studies at Hakim Sabzevari University in Sabzevar, Iran.
Founded in collaboration with the specialized ethnobiology working group of the Anthropology Society of Iran, our journal's primary mission is to expand the horizons of science and knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of ethnobiology. We aim to provide a platform for utilizing scientific findings to contribute to the scientific, cultural, social, and economic development.
This journal operates with a diamond open-access model, meaning there are no publication fees for authors and all articles are immediately and freely accessible to all readers. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, adhering to the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and abiding by the regulations on preventing scientific fraud.
The journal welcomes submissions on a wide range of topics, including ethnobotany, ethnozoology, traditional knowledge systems, sustainable development, environmental linguistics, and the ethics of studying indigenous knowledge.
